Getting Started with Hosting
Hosting on Comover is a great way to earn income from your extra space and connect with other professionals. It’s your opportunity to welcome people you’d like to work alongside, creating a professional environment that you enjoy. This guide will walk you through the simple steps to get your first Spot ready for Bookers.
Step 1: Create Your Spot Page
From your dashboard, you can create your first Spot. Think of this as the profile page for the space you're sharing. Don't worry, it will stay private to you while you're working on it.
Taking Good Photos
Clear, authentic photos are the best way to attract the right Bookers. Here’s what works best:
- Use Natural Light: Bright, airy photos feel more welcoming and real.
- Show the Details: Capture the unique textures and features of your space, like a wooden desk or a comfortable chair.
- Capture the Vibe: If possible, show the space in use. An architect at their drafting table, for example, tells a great story. Avoid sterile, corporate-looking images.
Writing Your Description
Use your description to attract the right people. Explain what makes your Spot a good place to work and the kind of professional atmosphere you're creating. This helps ensure Bookers are a great fit for your space.
Step 2: Submit for Approval
When you're happy with your Spot page, you'll submit it for approval. This is a key step to ensure every Spot on Comover is high-quality and ready for the community. Our team will check that everything looks good and approve it for the next step.
Step 3: Go Live
Once your Spot is approved, you're ready to Go Live! You can do this from your dashboard whenever you're ready. Your Spot will now be visible in search results, and you can start receiving booking requests.
Step 4: Responding to Requests
When a Booker is interested in your Spot, they will send you a "Request to Book". You'll find these in the "Awaiting Your Response" section of your dashboard.
This is your opportunity to choose who joins your space. You can review the Booker's profile and the personal message they've sent. You have 24 hours to confirm or decline the request before it automatically expires.
What's Next?
Once you confirm a booking, you're ready to welcome your first guest. Enjoy the new connections and the rewards of hosting.
